Bio

Lynda Wilson is a California-based artist specializing in painting, mixed media, and illustration.Like many artists, Lynda fell in love with creating art almost as soon as she was able to hold a crayon. Growing up, she took all the art classes that she could get her hands on. When she was just twelve years old, her work won a first place award from the Texas State Fair.Lynda picked up a paintbrush after many years of thinking that painting was something she was horrible at. Today, many of her original paintings and prints have been sold and shipped to places such as Germany, England, and America. Her work has also been exhibited in San Francisco's Live Worms Gallery and in Hayward's Sun Gallery.Lynda lives in California with her son, who also holds a creative vision, her fiance and her cat.Testimonials:"I love this painting and all of Lynda's work. These paintings have been done over the course of a couple of years. Painting is not only my bread and butter, but the air I breathe as well. I hope to spark imagination, passion and happy childhood memories in those who look upon them.

Sketches

Most often, my sketches are done quickly. Other times, my hand drifts upon the paper as if it has a mind of its own while my actual mind goes off in some daydream. Drawing is a lot like meditation to me, I find it extremely calming. Many of my drawings start and end on canvas, so the work done truly is a one of a kind. Other drawings are created in the sketchbook, usually while I sit on the couch watching tv or listening to music.
